The Donald P. and Katherine B. Loker Foundation supports organizations that primarily benefit educational, medical, and environmental causes located in California and New England. The Foundation achieves its goals by allocating resources to initiatives that align with this mission. What does a proposal include?

The Foundation responds to proposals that include a clearly defined plan, timeline, and budget. The request must also effectively describe the problem to be solved as well as communicate the proposal’s desired benefits or impact on the community.

What is the size of a contribution?

The Foundation makes contributions across a wide range. If your request is above six figures, the Board of Directors highly recommends that your proposal include a fundraising plan, which consists of additional funding from other foundations, local supporters, or traditional donors.

How long is the review process?

The Foundation aims to make a funding decision within 90 days of proposal submission. If the proposal aligns with the above criteria, a site visit or follow-up communication from the Board of Directors may be appropriate.
